The phones improve on their predecessors in both hardware and software. The Fold2 is bigger but lighter and thinner, while the Flip2 has a more traditional cover panel design. It has dual shooters in the top left corner and a screen that wraps around the lenses.
The big improvement in both phones is the first in Tecno’s portfolio to launch with AI Suite out of the box. It is a Google Gemini-powered engine that offers an AI assistant called Ella with smart conversational functionality, real-time translation in calls, summary, proofreading and text rewriting.
The Phantom V Fold2 launch price was $1,099, translating to over INR90,000, while the Flip2 is $699 or about INR60,000. Time will tell how Tecno will adjust the pricing for the Indian market.
