Cyber Monday Deals: Android flagships, foldables, tablets and accessories

With Black Friday behind us, it’s time to turn to Cyber Monday – a similar shopping holiday with a stronger focus on electronics. For today, we picked out mostly smartphone and tablet deals, plus some accessories and a bundle for PlayStation fans.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will remain Samsung’s camera flagship for a couple of months more. That said, rumors on the S25 Ultra point to limited camera upgrades (50MP ultra wide) and the outgoing model is currently under $1,000.

The Google Pixel 9 Pro has an impressive set of cameras of its own, the same cameras that are on the large Pro XL model but without the extra size.

Samsung’s foldables won’t be replaced until the second half of next year. The Galaxy Z Flip6 is under $1,000 for both the 256GB and 512GB variants.

Cheap horizontal foldables seem to be a long way off, so we have to rely on deals like this one – the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 is nearly $500 off right now.

Motorola has an affordable and capable flip foldable with the razr+ (2023). The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is still faster than many mid-range chips and you get a relatively large 3.6” cover display with full app support, so you can get a lot done even with the phone closed.

Alternatively, you can have more processing power (Snapdragon 8 Gen 2) for less money with the Motorola Edge+ (2023). It has a curved 6.67” cover display and a 50+12+50MP camera with a 12MP 2x portrait module, plus a 60MP selfie cam and a 5,100mAh battery with 68W/15W charging.

At a slightly lower price we find the Google Pixel 8a. The Tensor G3 is no match for the Snapdragon in terms of performance or efficiency, but the Pixel has better software support (7 years) than the Motorola.

Samsung’s whole FE lineup is discounted – the Galaxy S24 FE, the Watch FE (available in Bluetooth and LTE versions), the Buds FE and the two tablets (11” and 12.4”, both 90Hz IPS LCD).

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 is the company’s only current 11” OLED tablet as the Tab S10 series only covered the two larger sizes. It costs more than the same-sized Tab S9 FE, but you get a flagship chipset (Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 vs. Exynos 1380) in addition to the OLED display.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ somehow has DeX support despite only having 4GB of RAM – you can have the S-series multitasking feature on a $150 tablet. It won’t be nearly as fast, of course, but for study and office work it’s good enough.

There’s also the Google Pixel Tablet, which costs around the same as the 11” Tab S9 FE and offers an 11” display of its own (a 60Hz IPS LCD). This one supports split-screen multitasking, which while not as advanced as DeX, still gets the job done.

Next up, a couple of microSD cards from SanDisk. You still have devices with a microSD slot, right? Well, the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Tab A9+ do have slots (but the Pixel Tablet does not). Anyway, the SanDisk Extreme is suitable for running apps with its A2 rating and has high transfer speeds. The SanDisk Ultra is available in 1.5TB size, but is better suited for multimedia consumption – the A1 rating means lower IOPS and the transfer speeds are slower too.

Finally, Sony’s PlayStation 5 slim (the digital version) is under $400 right now. For another $350 you can get into VR with a PlayStation VR2 headset, controllers and Horizon: Call of the Mountain bundled. Or you can just pick up an extra DualSense controller for $54.
