Radica Introduces More Headroom and Cab Over Storage with the MoonLander X
The Tiny House Magazine featured the innovative MoonLander truck topper in issue #122. Since then, the company that builds the MoonLander, Radica, has literally raised the roof on their popular design.
The MoonLander X is the latest truck topper from Radica.

The MoonLander is the first truck topper in its class. The design is unique because it accomplishes the simple task of adding a little more interior room by extending out the sides of the topper . A few extra inches of horizontal room allows for expanded sleeping and living space without being too unwieldy in a truck bed.
Radica has done it again with the new MoonLander X. The new design now has additional headroom, cabover storage, and an interior that can transition from sleeping to lounging.
The MoonLander X has an extra six inches of headroom for mid-size trucks and an extra eight inches of headroom for full-size trucks. A fan or skylight can also be added to the ceiling as an option.
The cab over includes a storage area for gear or the bed panels.
The MoonLander X still has the bed panels for east-west sleeping, but the cab over area allows for the bed panels to be stored away for what Radica calls “stow mode”. In stow mode, the truck and topper can be opened up for storing gear or mountain bikes.
The two other modes include sleep mode and couch mode. The twin or double bed can be transformed from sleep mode into a lounging area with a couch and plenty of room inside the truck bed for cooking or additional storage.
The MoonLander X has both a sleeping and lounge mode.
The new MoonLander design comes from customer feedback as well as builder input from Radica.
MoonLander X can be installed on any mid- or full-size truck. The topper starts at $7,950, and options include Arctic Tern windows, solar panels, insulation packages, and LED lighting packages.
